I was up there July 22 and never found the crash site. I think I was "right" there but never saw it.

Lovely
Drove up from Boston and camped near the summit of the "Overlook". Then proceeded to the summit of Mount Success in the morning- which was very pleasant. The plan was to then head over to Goose Eye Mountain but we ran out out of time. Came down the Carlos Col trail and hitched a ride back to my car in a couple's pick-up truck. They even let me help myself to the cooler full of beer in the back! So awesome! Can't wait to go back to this range.

From FL
Made it up on 23 Oct. Weather was good and cooperated. Started from Success Pond Rd up to the outlook and then to the top of the mountain. We also found the plane wreckage and looked around. Very cool hike.

Summit & Plane Crash
Hit the summit, and I headed to the plane crash but my hiking partner bonked (so I was on my own) and I never found the plane. Thought it best not to be poking around off trail alone!
Climbed Success several times (Successfully, I might add). The most memorable time was with my Boy Scout Troop. Tim Bevins was working on his Cooking merit badge and we stopped on the summit to cook up a big pot of corn chowder starting from potatoes, milk, corn, etc. The results were tasty and warmed our frozen fingers (did I mention that it was windy and snowing at the time?) quite a bit. Nice mountain in spite of this.

Mahoosuc Traverse
We made it to the top of this great mountain on the 2nd day of our hike through the Mahoosucs. Unfortunately we couldn't linger because it was getting late and we wanted to get to Carlo Col shelter before dark (we didn't quite make it). This mountain is one of several spectacular ones in the Mahoosucs.
