Thanks Bob! I just spent 9 days in that region, enduring 8 consecutive days of rain, so I figured that something constructive should come from my suffering.
Page is 1st rate David. Thorough stuff including a historical description and a nice list of guidebooks.
Thought we had "all" the Sierra climbing guidebooks but I was wrong!!!! What do you think of this "Exploring the Highest Sierra" by James Gregory Moore?
It's a fun book to read, but it isn't a guidebook. It addresses the geology and history of the area. I think I included it in the book list because I referred to it in the history sections.
If you have Secor, Peter Croft's "The Good, the Great and the Awesome" and "100 Classic Climbs" ( or something like that) you are in great shape. For Tuolumne Meadows, the Supertopo guidebook is excellent. Finally, Roper's book (name escapes me at the moment) which is out of print is a nice supplement, but nowhere near as good as Secor. Plus, the ratings are often sandbagged. It's a compact green Sierra Club. It's still worth picking up if you see it at a used bookstore.

Ah, so many great places to visit, and so little time! The Goddard/Evolution area is a winner.
