Headed up to Raymond after Gobblers. Definitely steeper than GK. The scramble was short and sweet compared to other mountains in the central Wasatch. The views from the top were great. Came up from Butler Fork.
My second time on the summit of Mt. Raymond. This time from the Millcreek Canyon side and Bowman Fork Trail. My first ascent was from Butler Fork. Hiked with RDB. Beautiful day! Few people on the trail. Supposedly, you can get to the summit from the Porter Fork Trail, too, but we couldn't figure out where it meets the saddle (Baker Pass) below the summit.

Near Death Experience
I went up Porter's Fork and around Mount Raymond to Bowman saddle, then up the Northeast ridge. I got to the last little knife edge section and missed the trail that went to the left. I instead went to the right and got caught on a cliff face. There was a little chute that I was going to try and up climb to get back on the east side of the knife edge. As I stepped across a little gap, the old rotting log that I stepped on gave way, and tumbled off the cliff. I face planted onto the cliff and tried to get as many points of contact as I could. I was on the phone with my cousin and he heard the phone go off the cliff. I don't know how I didn't fall off the 40 foot drop as well. But something kept me clinging on. I was able to climb out of that situation and find my way to the bottom of the cliff to try and find my phone. It is lost forever. But i made it to the summit for a few shaky minutes. I was still pretty disturbed from what had just happened. And I got off the mountain as quickly as possible. About 13 miles round trip.

Well worth it
I hiked this alone since none of my kids would go. It was very pleasant and I could go at my own pace. Loved the climb from Butler Fork- very pretty canyon. Raymond is a very cool but not as popular peak.

Mount Raymond
Ascended and descended via Butler Fork. The knife edge looks bad but is pretty short and basic class 3 moves will get you across it. Views from the top are outstanding!

Fun peak near SLC!
Great hike and peak with a nice scramble to the summit. People who don't climb peaks regularly should not underestimate the class 3 scramble; however, the rock offers many deep hand and footholds. Nice little beginner's bouldering section. I soloed this one.

The Last One
The last mountain I climbed on the Wildcat Ridge. Good views of the Cottonwood ridge and Butler Fork. Spent 40 minutes at the top to get my energy back so I could run down Butler Fork.
Did this with Gobblers Knob. The knife edge was fun.

Warm Day
Skinned up from Butler Fork on what turned out to be a very warm day. Snow was wet and heavy by the time I hit the summit a little after noon making for a cautious ski down.
