Paradise
Hiked most of the Skyline Trail with the family, in the aptly named Paradise area of Mount Rainier National Park. The greenery, wildflowers, waterfalls, and views of the south-facing glaciers on Mount Rainier were great. The views of the Tatoosh Range to the south were also nice.

Visiting
We visited this park to learn the logistics of hiking Mt Rainier. The park was beautiful but we got there the exact day they opened the Lodge. The plan is to go back and summit this impressive mountain.

Amazing Mt Rainier
We were on the mountain from May 27-29, 2014. Great experience climbing, and meeting this mountain for the first time. Unfortunately, we were turned around in the same storm the infamous night that 6 climbers lost their lives. We were guided also by Alpine Ascents, however our guides made the right choice about the weather. I was very upset by the notion of being forced to turn around, but then realized just how cold/windy/snowy it became. We are going to attempt it again in August, wish us luck! Going for state HP #44!
