I looked up the the name at the public library and then went to the American Mountaineering Center library with no luck at either one. I guess the Federal Center in Denver has a large archive, which I haven't been to yet.
I'm assuming it was named after the peak in your back yard.
Great job Grant, I'm ashamed to say that I've lived over 5 years within 10 miles of the area and today was my first trip there. It definately won't be the last.
