South Ridge
Nice route, not so difficult and a great airy step. I do agree with Dow regarding that bolt right over the airy step, do not clip into it, 2m away there is a safe station.

South Ridge 5.4
Rob L. and I had prefect weather on the South Ridge. My second multi pitch rock route of my life!
Did this climb in the fall. Views were absolutely stupendous but I forgot to bring a new roll of film that day :( Still had a great time. The mud arch spanning the notch in the ridge was still there offering an exciting little bit of climbing. I of course didn't dare step on it but my partners did and it held! I heared it fell a couple of years later. Guess someone will have to go wedge a rock in the notch so that others may relive a similar experience!
All in all it took about 7 hours round trip while taking our time. I would strongly suggest staying on the ridge the whole way and avoid the traverse option on the east side of the ridge. It makes route finding simpler and apparently the climb back to the ridge with the traverse option isn't all that enjoyable.

I suppose I should sign this too, very pleasant day with Dow and easier than anticipated climbing, would recommend it! As with all of the Rockies, a lot of respect needs to be given to loose rock as mentioned in the description... will add some of my photos now

Pvalchev and I were looking for a short day in the mountains and Mount Lorette fit the bill. Our weather was spectacular and both of us had ease with the route. Rather more of a social outing with perfect weather and views. I recommend this route for Calgarians looking to get more into the sport of mountaineering. However, its traditional Rocky Mountain rock conditions and exposure are to be respected. Two separate deaths occurred here in 2003. We climbed the route 6 hours round trip, the guide book says 6-8 hours. Cheers.
