Caught in the rain
Stopped just short of the summit as the slabby bits were wet and unsafe. Rained for the first time in 2 weeks so I can't complain.

Gable Traverse
Didn't mind the long walk up the creek but didn't like the slog up loose scree from tree line to col. Scramble on the slabs to Fable was a bit better. Surprised to see more than one party doing Fable, guess Danimal was one of them. Lot of neat rock formations along the traverse. Seems like the traverse is quite popular as there was a defined path most of the way. I would recommend doing the traverse if its dry as the views are spectacular throughout. Highlight of the day was the scramble up the exposed ridge just before Gap peak. Kind of reminded me of Lady Mac except rock looked fractured. Bushwhacking to reach grotto canyon was an unpleasant end to the day. Not sure if there was a trail but if there was we sure missed it when we descended the gully.

Route Climbed: Alpine II 5.4 South Ridge/Scramble Traverse Date Climbed: October, 2003
Combined two routes to make this a splendid solo day. My favorite scramble near Canmore. Relatively secluded, most folks are not up for this long of a day. The ridge was like Disney Land, super views, great sunshine. I recommend it.
Stop and get a great view of Fable at the Heart Creek sport climb area off of Trans-Canada.
