Climbed Bierstadt via East Ridge. Started from Mt. Evans parking area, used the first steep gully to get down to the valley and ascended directly to the base of Pt. 13,641. Climbed directly to the top of Pt. 13,641 on a nice solid rock then stayed on the ridge crest. After summiting Bierstadt did Sawtooth traverse to Mt. Evans. Great solid rock, nice weather, incredible views!

Beautiful March Day
We had to hike a couple miles to the pass after being stopped by a giant snow berm. Went up with Adam and my new Norwegian friend Sigmund. Snowshoed most of the way (Sigmund skinned all the way up!). Summited in a flannel shirt!!

Western Slope Guanella Pass
Meetup.com hike. This was my third time up Bierstadt. The lower parking lot was full when we arrived. The trail was muddy, especially in the willows. There's still a few patches of snow up there. The weather was a little unsettled: it was very windy and chilly, with some clouds moving through. Our group got pretty spread out, but I think everyone reached the summit.

First 14er
I'm convinced I did this in 2001, but my pictures are dated 2000. I didn't know what I was getting into on my first 14er and got jelly-legs on the way down. I think the 2nd trip up, I cut 1 hour off the 1st trip's time.

Winter ascent via Guanella Pass
Flew into Denver at 8pm with 4 guys from the CMC. Drove up I-70 to Guanella Pass Road with the intention of camping at Burning Bear campground only to discover that Guanella Pass is CLOSED. Damn. We had to drive all the way around to get to the south side of the pass. Got to sleep at 2:30am and woke at 7:30am. Made the summit but was dogging the whole way. 0-14K in less than 24 hours on 5 hours sleep. What a long day!
not a very good weather, summited with my mom and dog.

road was gated at duck lake, started on snowshoes but switched to boots after the willows and returned with just boots. Great day.

Twice in one day
Hiked the west slopes and took the North Face gully to the summit.
Dropped 700' to the low point of the sawtooth and had to climb back up.
I'm counting it twice. =D

Night Sawtooth- Tiring!
Left Guanella Pass at 9:35 PM, got to the summit at 11:30 PM. The moon was so bright that we kept the headlamps in the packs. Tried to catch some Z's on the summit, but it was kinda chilly, so we continued to Evans via Sawtooth. Back at the TH at 6:35 am. Looong trip, especially with no sleep!

Cold and calm
Somewhat longer due to the winter road closure but clear cold day was perfect. Skiied part of the way down but not enough snow for many turns.
WOW! only about 700 people on the mountain that day.
