Yeah, the road is closed at the gate 1.6 miles below the summer TH. On the west slopes the snow is well-packed, but if you take the gully variation there's some mandatory post-holing through the talus, followed by some fun class-3 scrambling. The snow on the sawtooth side (N-NW) is deep and unconsolidated.
