Stunning Superior Snowshoe
UP with snowshoes! My first snowshoe vacation ended with this stunning summit. The glorious clear sunny Upper Peninsula day revealed Lake Superior in all its cobalt and saphire glory. I almost stopped at the first Lake overlook (80% into hike) because I did not see any tracks leaving that clearing. But I pressed on to the obvious summit even though I was not so sure at the time!

a cold windy day in february...
got lost trying to find the trail on snowshoes, but five miles later, after a little bushwhacking, made it to the top successfully! great views from the top, can't believe i hadn't been there yet. can't wait for the next time i can get up there :)
