"As an adolescent I aspired to lasting fame, I craved factual certainty, and I thirsted for a meaningful vision of human life - so I became a scientist. This is like becoming an archbishop so you can meet girls."

The Full MonteWe were not able to go straight up to the standard route due to a nasty moat. We were able to get on the face via a snow block about 30’ to the right. After about 10-15’ of climbing, we were able to shimmy left through a narrow passage between the face and a snow wall to rejoin the standard route.

North ColGreat conditions kept us on snow from Glacier Basin to the V-notch. Climbing starts on good rock and is fun, above that the scrambling is on poor rock but with excellent views.

U-NotchHistorical approach through abondoned town, mining relics along path, beautiful basin, no Sasquatch! Loose rock in both V & U notches, a magnificent view. Talus field better in snow.
