Re: Nice

Glad you enjoyed the TR and the pictures. Considering the backdrop I had, it was pretty easy to take some amazing pictures!

Thanks for visiting,

Great report, Mark!

Seems like a great accomplishment to me, though I would lean more toward 96 hours. As I mentioned before, your photos brought back memories of my trip to the river in 1970. Thanks for sharing it!

Re: Great report, Mark!

Bill,
I will not downplay the physical accomplishment of going R2R in a day, but as I said in the TR...and as you suggest...one day in the Canyon just isn't enough. If I had 96 hours to spend in the Canyon I would lean more to the "Road Less Traveled" than R2R.

I know that you enjoy your backpacking trips, but I still need to bite the bullet and finally spend a night or two in the backcountry. Maybe it'll be in the Canyon?

I hope you can get back there soon! 40 years is a long hiatus from the Canyon, so can I look forward to your TR???

Happy Trails,
Mark

Nice TR

Thanks for sharing your experience. I love the Canyon (although not too much of a fan of the big trails). We did an 18-day rafting trip through the Canyon this past April and it was... awesome. Such a great way to see an amazing & wild place.

Re: Nice TR

After getting down to river level, it sure seems like a rafting trip would be a great way to see Grand Canyon. Sounds like you had a great trip. Thanks for visiting.
