Awesome photo!

If it's a bad-ass mountain, it's gotta be a Ryan Schilling photo!

Re: Awesome photo!

High praise coming from you, Todd! Thanks for the comment. You should think about a trip to Sand Creek sometime, if you've never been. There's a ton of great photo opps, especially of Tijeras Peak reflecting in Lower Sand Creek Lake!

Re: Awesome photo!

I actually did a brief trip to lower several years ago, but the light died and I hiked out in the dark, without getting anything decent. Just as I hit Music Pass in almost complete darkness, a herd of elk went whizzing by at close range. Just about had to change underwear!

I've got a shot of the upper lake (actually, it's a small tarn near the lake) reflecting Music Mountain and the setting moon with sunrise alpenglow in my new Colorado wall calendar, which comes in next week. I love that area!

Off the topic of the Sangres, I was drooling over your shots of the Trinities pano again this afternoon. I keep coming back to that shot. Man, that is one dy-no-MITE photo!
