Re: Aha!How can you tell it's a lady?
It took a bit of work getting this guy to go to the side of the road, just before a car went speeding by.

Do those spidersnormally 'hunch up' like that, or is that it's defensive posture, perhaps?

Re: Do those spidersNo, this is their normal posture. When they go into their defense mode, they get back onto their back legs and raise their front legs showing their fangs.

Re: Do those spidersMarc,
Interesting.
We don't have arachnids of that sort in my area, just the Hobo, Black Widow, and Brown Recluse varieties.
Ugh!

Re: Do those spidersThat sounds like it's enough, Tim.
Marc, please excuse me for interjecting,
but a SONG comes to my mind when I see this..
"I was shy and so for awhile,
Most of my love was touch and smile;
'Til she said, "Come on over here!"
I was nervous as you might guess,
Still looking for somethin' to slip down her dress..
And she said, "Let's make it perfectly clear!"
She said, "I don't like spiders and snakes,
And that ain't what it takes to love me
You fool ..."
