blowing overhead. When we reached the top
of Misery Hill the wind was blowing hard and
steady enough -- 60 - 80 mph -- to keep us
from standing. Though hundreds attempted
the summit only a handful actually made it that
day. One guy who did said it was blowing so
hard they weren't even able to take a photo.
This photo was taken June 11, 2004. The day
previous, climbers reported a beautiful, bright
and still day.
