East ridgeFor the Sierra Challenge. The ridge was easy class 2, but getting there involved some steep snow chutes, which got "interesting" with my Kahtoola running-shoe crampons.

Route Climbed: Northwest Ridge Date Climbed: 17-AUG-1998Horrible slog over the moraines, exciting climb up to Packsaddle Pass. The ridge was a typical scramble. Summit plateau was a garden of wildflowers. Watched a golden eagle drift past along the edge of the north face.
