Re: Makes me wanna pick ice climbing.

Hey, thanks man! Iceclimbing is super fun, I think you'll love it. We should plan a trip to Banks Lake in December or January, after your cource. Or a miracle could happen, and there could be ice in the Gorge. Yeah right! :-)

Hope you had a good weekend. I bailed from an alpine climb due to rain, then gave up on all hopes on cragging for the same reason. Got to love spring in the Northwest! :-)

Re: Makes me wanna pick ice climbing.

I've heard of this Gorge ice... ;)

Yeah - getting on some ice would be cool in the winter. So which climb did you have in mind last weekend? We (Shirley and I) bailed on another Hood climb which was supposed to be part of the course and hit Smith on Saturday (great weather if a bit humid)....our classmates got above Palmer and still did not break out of the rain/clouds. Ended up turning around. It did pour Sunday morning at Smith though.

I can't stand this weather sh.. around here. We got some great mountains (WA does anyway), but what's the point when you can't really climb much of the time due to weather - really sucks..... :(

Re: Makes me wanna pick ice climbing.

We were going to try the Northwest Ridge on Reynolds Peak in the Chelan Wilderness. I've never been to that area. It would have been fun, snow and rock to mid fifth class. Oh well. Good to hear you got something in.
