An impressive...map, Nader. I wish I could create something like this. I am not very map savvy, and I admire how much work you must have put into this project.
Nice job,
Marc

Re: An impressive...Thank you for voting and commenting Marc,
Finding a decent climbing map in Iran can be a challenge. Most climbers use maps that are either nothing more than "sticks and points" or are an artist's drawing of what the mountains look like. Such maps are often full of errors/omissions and/or have no scale.
The only place where you can get good Topgraphic Maps is at a place called the geographic institute. Although their maps are accurate, they do not provide names for each and every peak like mountain climbers do. Many times the names that climbers use are different than what the locals use. When you look at the topo maps you only see a spaghetti of lines that makes it hard to get a feel for the topography. That is why I have decided to make topo maps myself for the Alborz Mountains. I know with contour lines of 200 m you will not get much detail but you can at least get an idea of the general topography of the mountains that I create pages for here.
