"As an adolescent I aspired to lasting fame, I craved factual certainty, and I thirsted for a meaningful vision of human life - so I became a scientist. This is like becoming an archbishop so you can meet girls."

Easy (?) climbJust ran across my photos from this summit. I remember a relatively easy and straightforward climb, but I also remember researching the starting point pretty heavily to make sure we didn't run into an annoying chaparral-choked hillside. I believe we followed an old steep road at the beginning but quickly diverted and went straight up. Wish I still had my GPS track from this one - I remember it being a fun little climb with great views of the peaks in Lassen.

Southeast slopeFrom Emerald Lake area over the ridge. Plowed into a ton of chaparral on the southeast slope. Better stay to the right.
