Looking WNW toward the Mt....

Looking WNW toward the Mt. Baker Ski Area on Oct. 3, 1999. I've known of this ski area opening as early as late October. It typically receives a lot of snow in winter. In fact, it achieved the world record for the most snowfall in a calendar year (93 ft, 8 inches) in 1998-1999. That's probably why there is still snow on the ridge crest at left (Pt. 5520+ at the head of Razor Hone Creek).
