Looking up at the 5.8+...

Looking up at the 5.8+ layback of P2 of Beulah's Book. This is about 20 feet above the initial "bombay chimney" of P2. The layback (all ~20-30 feet of it) is easier than it looks as there are in fact decent rests and the pro is "A1"! On that particular day we encountered a clump of fecal matter just below the layback crack. Either the sight of the layback corner literally scared the sh*t out of someone or some filthy, subhuman animal took the big one off of the belay ledge above and onto the route (November 25, 2004).

Nice looking rock

Good picture. That looks like serious fun. What else did you climb?

Re: Nice looking rock

Thanks Martin.

It's a fun route. Did not do as many routes as we should've since we lost ~3 days due to weather. Did a 5P 5.7, 2P 5.8, 3P 5.9-, and a 7P 5.9. Not sure if you've had a chance to check out Red Rocks before - it's a fun place to climb.
