It's sad...

...to see almost all glaciers melting down that quickly as you can see (unfortunaltly) very well on some of your more recent photo's.

Yes, particularly in Austria there are some real parade examples for the sheer speed at which the glaciers are melting. Not only the Pasterze, but also around many of the glacial tongues in the Ötztal and Zillertal Alps as well as in the Mallnitz-Badgastein region one sees these enormous moraine basins, the edges of which are all to often as sharp as if freshly cut with a butter-knife! It is alarming indeed...
