Looking down on Bench Lake...
| Looking down on Bench Lake from the early part of the east ridge ascent (July 4, 2003). It's a little hard to tell from this photo, but on the far side of the lake after the grassy hill the terrain falls rapidly down to the forested valley below (several hundred feet I think).
