Looking down from 1/3rd of...

Looking down from 1/3rd of the way up the 5.9 dihedral on pitch 2 of Zebra-Zion. Some lie-backing at the bottom brings you to easier ground. Dihedral gets progressively easier towards the top as the crack widens from fingers to hands then fists and more features appear on the side walls (top is 5.7-ish). Shirley is suffering through the hanging belay atop pitch 1 (really had to lean out to be in this shot). Hit PREV to see the corresponding view from down below (March 5, 2005).

Downside Up

Your picture is upside down, or is that downside up, or does it matter? I got so dizzy I fell off my chair.

Re: Downside Up

Hey Paul,

I should've checked earlier if you were able to pick yourself off the floor? ;)

I guess my take on this is that for shots looking up or down orientation is sort of arbitrary.

Re: Downside Up

Ordinarily I would agree with you, but in this case the photo is upside down (it looks better the other way). The background grass and fence area are upside down and Shirley is upside down.

But I understand that you've uploaded all these photos in a sequence, so deleting and reloading will break this.
