Met a local
The climb itself was fast and very straightforward. Met a local afterwards who rolled up making sure I wasn't a poacher. Good thing for me I wasn't... he turned out to be a friendly guy once he was convinced I wasn't poaching.

Rougher than I thought
I thought this was going to be a simple 1000 foot elevation climb... run to the top and come down in about 2 hours. Boy was I wrong. We scrambled up to the left of the main peak and found a geocache that was put up there a couple years ago, rock slipped from underneath my feet, and almost broke my leg and back. Was 100 degrees and very miserable. Highlight of the trip... spotting and taking pics of a Gila Monster! Rare and cool to see. Will be back to find more monsters!
