Some Other Comments

I am glad to see that you had a good trip, with good weather!

But I would aslo like to add that you were fortunate. It is unwise to wear cotton and not have the "ten essentials" when mountain climbing. But this is how things often are, sometimes you can get away with not having the proper gear; other times you can pay for it with your life. (Note the climber who died on Longs Peak on Labor Day weekend 2003 ) I dont mean to be arrogant, as I look back at my outdoor days in MI and wonder how I didnt die, for example ...all the times I went canoeing in November or March in blue jeans....

But after a few close calls, I decided that I should have the equipment. Since if you keep visiting the mountains, you will need it one day.
