Panamint Butte via Lemoigne Canyon day hike
I climbed Panamint Butte via the Lemoigne Canyon north fork as a dayhike. I drove to and hiked from the very end of the Lemoigne Canyon Road. Per my GPS, the hike was an 18.7 mile RT. I calculate the total elevation gain at 3794'. There is no extra elevation along the way. I've previously climbed the Butte from the Big Four Mine. Though this route is considerably longer, it is much easier overall. I posted a complete trip report and GPX file on peakbagger .com
