I've done a good number of these mountains even though they are quite a ways from Island Park. They are worth the drive for the stark beauty and long range views they afford. I have been to Eightmile Canyon several times as this is the quickest way to Morman Gulch from the east. I actually drove up that nasty road to Windy Peak once, probably hike it next time!
