Re: The camera gets ever closerPan about 5 degrees to the right and you would see Slesse (this picture is zoomed in quite a bit). Unfortunately, I did not have a suitable photo of it from Shuksan to include on sp.com. You must have lived in the Vancouver area once in your life, else how would you know that this pic is close to viewing Slesse?

Re: The camera gets ever closerits a border mtn and there was a canadian air crash arouond there once. I've never been closer than the Middle Teton.

Re: TetonHardly. The Tetons are much nicer--to look upon and to climb upon. However, the rock on the peaks above are not as bad as they appear (they are formed of rocks of the Chilliwack Group).

LarrabeeGreat Picture and idenification. Not much snow left on those mountains that day. I just posted a picture from the air taken last Spring looking back opposite of your picture. As we all say, "...so many mountains...so little time..." I'd like to do the American Border Peak someday.
