Huayna Potosi climb

My brother and I, with a friend summitted Huayna Potosi on Septmeber 5th, 2013. Since I am sixty-six and my brother fifty-seven (our friend is a mere child of thirty-three) we took it slowly. It was eight hours from high camp to the summit but was a perfect day - clear sky and no wind. We climbed unguided and encountered no particular difficulty other than the anticipated exhaustion. Our GPS registered 20,044 ft at the top. That seems to be the consistent GPS summit reading. I wish that height would be universally recognized rather than the traditional and erronious 6,088 meter elevation. We thoroughly enjoyed the experience of climbing that beautiful mountain, as well as our positive interaction with the Bolivian and our fellow climbers. We would highly recommend it to anyone willing to "pay the price".
