Above the SE corner of Owens Dry Lake, Malpais Mesa gives a beautiful across-valley view of the High Sierra Crest. This 30-degree shot, centered just north of West, was taken on a beautiful December 19, 2017. The photographer's elevation above the 3,550-foot lakebed was 7,350 feet.
