Black Mountain Hike
Pictures and trip report of my fifth summit of Black Mountain.I located Black Mountain on this hike. The view of Lake Isabella, and surrounding areas is amazing from this vista. I started at Black Mountain Peak, and headed around to the right for about 1/4 mile, and a loss in elevation of about 100 feet. The elevation of the peak is 7428' and the point is 7334'. I was also able to identify the row of peaks on the Greenhorn Summit, and I located Panorama Peak 7773' for the first time above Panorama campground. I did Shirley Peak for the first time on this hike also so I was able to label the Alta Sierra region using pictures taken from Black Mountain Point.
