Great picture of the routes

Nice photo. It also shows the 2 routes that are normally climbed. The West Face Direct is up that incredibly steep slope just to the right of the ridge in the center. The Southwest Face is the gully just to the left of the ridge.

Really impressive shot! Especially if you look at the 'hills' in the foreground, dwarfed by the enormous icy walls! Just how high is this face of the mountain?

Absolutely ass-kicking!

What a glorious masterwork of natural splendour in stone, snow, and ice... A truly fantastic photo of one of the most sublime mountains in the solar system. Many, many thanks! I am very curious to know what the relief is on Jirishanca's W Face...

Re: Absolutely ass-kicking!

Looking at Google Maps the relief for Jirishanca's faces appears to be:

West Face: 900 meters
SE Face: ~1000-1100 meters
NE Face: 900-1000 meters
