"Sinai represents Egypt's Asian part, as the border between Africa and Asia is drawn along the Suez Canal."
This is a quote from the Encyclopaedia of the Orient. In the beginning I wrote Africa, then somebody corrected me. Similar thing happened with Tide. Africa or Europe? I decided for Africa. Not politically, but tectonicly.
I fully understand your reasons and agree with what you say.
The negative aspect with "placing the peaks in Asia" is the issue that comes up when you search for African peaks and expect to find them in that category. After all, I think most people search for Egypt under Africa.
Tectonical categorization is definitely correct, but can be puzzling and confusing in some aspects.
I just dropped you the remark in order to make the pages more easy to find.
