pleasant bump on the ridge
I added this to a planned hike of Hopkins. There is still an excellent view of Wrightson from the summit but the foliage blocks most other views.

Don't remember Jack ..
Don't remember Jack about the trail, seemed extremely brushy as
I made my way up to Josephine Saddle ... the picnic area in
Madera Canyon was occupied with wild-eyed bird watchers!

Carrie Nation Trail - Madera Canyon after Hopkins
After a successful summit of Mount Hopkins, it was a no-brainer to skip on over to this summit. Nice views, though the plants on the summit are growing quickly - get here soon if youb want to enjoy the scenery from the top!

Loop Route from Wrightson parking lot
It had been brutally hot this week down in the valley, so a visit to the top of Jack Mountain was just what the doctor ordered! Surprised to find the social trail to the summit.
