Sounds like you had a great time. How were the bugs at Lane Cove? We were pretty much confined to our tents because of them. Youre route sounds almost identical to the one I followed in '05. Moskey Basin has to be one of my favorite places I've visited...such wonderful isolation. If you have some pics I'd love to see them, feel free to post. Either way, thanks for the great report. Hope I can get back to the island again sooner than later!

We went late enough in the year that the bugs were not an issue anywhere on the Island. We enjoyed Lane Cove the best because of the solitude and the incredibly active loon family, but Moskey Basin came in a close second. The whole island is a magical place.
