From those SPers who plan to attempt summiting Iron Mountain in the future, I think it would be very helpful to tie pink ribbons to the trees/brush leading up the saddle slope. This would greatly assist climbers and help establish a "true" route to follow.

Sounds like a great peak. Great add! Luckily you did not hit snow this past weekend. I was hope to tag both Thunder and Nimbus but got stuffed when I ran into 6 to 18 inches of powder. It slowed me down just enough to have to stop just above Trap Pass at beautiful lookout. Oh well, next year.
What a coincidence! I was thinking the same peaks for that weekend, but then changed my mind near the last minute when the snow levels (from earlier storms during the week) looked like they went down to ~5500'. You're right... next year.
