Really enjoyed this one - much better than I expected. I went straight up to the ridge as soon as the road entered the clearcut (I crested the ridge at 4800' just SE of the summit) with no difficulties. 3 hrs up, 2 hrs down.

Good Hike!!!
The steep ascent along Iron Mountain Road was enjoyable. The steep ascent to the saddle ridge was tough. With no visible paths to guide me, I ended up taking different routes up and down the slope. Iron Mountain's summit sees few visitors. I only passed one person, on a gorgeous weekend day. This was probably the last great weather day before the snow season begins.
This climb was signicant for me because it was the 40th new highpoint/summit I have reached this year, not including several duplicates or others I have reached previously.
