I'm almost certain that Buck...
I'm almost certain that Buck Peak is the peak on the skyline ridge on the left, seen from a logged ridge near the road leading to the Indian Springs access to the PCT. Thanksgiving Day 2002.

The streaks of light filtering through the trees on the ridge makes this shot, in a series of fantanstic shots, truly memorable. Many compliments to you.

Thanks for your very kind words, Inge. It was never so easy to capture unique and interesting images as it was that day with that dramatic temperature inversion, and just after the cloud layer below had burned off .

You mention the Sangres on your profile page. Two of us will be heading there, tentatively scheduled for mid-September, but possibly in August. We'll be trying to bag the 5 14ers in the Crestone group and the 4 in the Blanca group. You'd be more than welcome to join us.

Thank you very much for the invitation. Please keep me posted on your travel plans as I have several trips planned that will take me to the Westcliffe area. Will email you with current dates.

Incredible image! I love images that are color but show as mostly grays and whites. Something special about achieving that. Well done!

Haven't tried making it B&W. Might be interesting, but I've never learned to appreciate B&W much for some reason. I guess I just really like color, even the subtle colors in this photo. -Bob
