Voted 10/10 | ...I've seen on summitpost! What a great way to show the snowline. I'm suprised at how green it is down there, being Labor Day and all. Wouldn't have looked like this a few years ago I'll bet. | | Posted Nov 20, 2004 5:33 pm |

Hasn't voted | Wow, coming from you Todd says a lot. Todd, I was sitting at my desk at work and noticed a cool "Rockies" calender at a co-workers desk. I began to thumb through the pages and noticed a really inspiring shot of Afley Peak in the Ruby Range. I also found another shot of Escarpment Ridge in the same area that I really liked. I new i needed to keep looking through it because its not often where you find Colorado calenders with shots included that are so off the beaten path. A few minutes later realized it was your calender, and one of the best I have seen! I might hit you up some time on where you took those two shots. I also remember specifically, thinking about your Escarpment Ridge shot while hiking up Teocalli Mountain this fall. I think we later located a nice view of it with the aid of a GPS.
Thanks to all for the comments. I actually have another one of these that is stitched together showing a 180 view of the area. It's a cool shot but it would show up to skinny and small for SP. | | Posted Nov 21, 2004 2:58 pm |

Voted 10/10 | Hey man, any time you want to know where a shot was taken, ask away. I don't really have "secret" locations like some photographers do.
Be forewarned: As you can tell, I'm not exactly the quickest at seeing whether someone has responded to something I posted, so if you don't get a quick response here, just e-mail me directly at toddatskylinepressdotcom.
BTW, are you talking about SCARP Ridge? Trying to recall what photo of that I might've published... | | Posted Dec 3, 2004 9:38 pm |

Hasn't voted | A few days after I posted that comment, I realized that shot of Scarp Ridge wasn't yours. But I'm sure you know which Afley Peak shot I was looking at! Maybe we will see an Afley Peak page here on SP. | | Posted Dec 3, 2004 11:17 pm |

Any image that has the capacity to truly make you go out of your way to visit in the person that you are seeing via a medium is a powerful image.
