Goat Mountain's western and... [ Sizes: Orig | Med | Small | Thumb ]
Goat Mountain's western and...
Goat Mountain's western and main summits rise above the Green River Valley as viewed from Forest Road 26. The stand of trees southeast of the main summit, unlike those in the foreground, was spared by the 1980 blast. The logging salvage roads on the south slopes are not open. The trail ascends to the ridge out of the photo to the right. October 14, 2004

"As an adolescent I aspired to lasting fame, I craved factual certainty, and I thirsted for a meaningful vision of human life - so I became a scientist. This is like becoming an archbishop so you can meet girls."   --M. Cartmill
