Your article is like a dream in its rhythm and personal nature. The cultural history of "America" and what it means to you certainly comes across as disillusionment but in an enchanting way. I really like your writing style. But, being an English speaking US citizen, I sometimes have difficulty understanding what you wrote. Nonetheless, your poetry is fantastic and you have my full vote.
Dear Mike,
my "Inglese" is completely self-paced. I manage as I can and I do not pretend to be Hemingway. I are much better (but in Italian). I too am part of the "Lost Generation".
HELLO & THANK YOU,

Having recently seen a 1950's photo of Changabang in the nat geo as a small child, I peered through the window looking for a mountain while being driven through Mt. Clemens Michigan on the way to Canada-nothing-ultra flat midwest. Then a couple of reasonable hills on the way through Guelph Ontario. Finally after Montreal there it was: Mont St Hillaire- a veritable eastern Canada Eiger even though only a modest 1/10 scale of the Eiger!
