Average Low !Great page, love to see the midnight sun.
It is odd that at 68 degree latitude the average January low is only minus 2 C. Where I live in Wisconsin at just below 43 degree latitude the average January low is minus 12 C (11 F). Must be the Gulf Stream.
Addition:
I just read the link you provided. It says it is warm on the coast but inland, the average low is minus 15.

Yes, inland the song is much different... it is found that the effects of the Gulf Stream give to the coastal areas of the islands incredibly mild average winter temperatures (note that Lofoten are located north to the Arctic Circle). Inland, even in areas further to the south, the temperatures are much lower...
