"After the first glass, you see things as you wish they were. After the second, you see things as they are not. Finally, you see things as they really are, which is the most horrible thing in the world."

Climbed twiceFirst day of the 2009 vacation: we took the cable-car to Helmhaus, then climbed Helm, Füllhorn, Hornischegg, Hollbrucker Spitze, Hollbrucker Egg, Demut and Schöntalhöhe. On the way back climbed across Demut, Hollbrucker Spitze and Jochgruben. Wonderful day!

Route Climbed: Northern Approach across Zenser Spitze Date Climbed: Sept 20thIt should have been a beautiful day - and from the outset it was. But when we closed in on our destination - Hollbrucker Spitze - clouds started ascending out of the valleys to the south. Only imperfect views of the Sexten Dolomites and later we had to quit hiking the "Karnischer Höhenweg" trekking trail because of the weather.
