Good trip report - plenty of helpful tips and took them on board before I climbed.
I got up there solo in mid October on a spectacular day, and climbed in a single day (early start) from Champery. I'll re-iterate your point regarding loosing the path on the way upwards from the Col. I lost the path a couple of times too (including a few hairy moments) and its really worth while being vigilant with keeping your eyes open and sticking to the path for safety's sake.

You should add......"Under Construction" to the title, as long as the page isn't yet finished - I'm sure there is still more to come? I'm greatly looking forward to the final result, as I myself have been up Dents du Midi-Haute Cime, also going along the Champéry-Cabane de Susanfe route, in 1985. I myself could write a trip report about this one...for instance I remember what an asshole that hut guardian at the Susanfe hut was - surely it's not the same person any more now, after 25 years...
