Thanks to the DAV Lahr group, I got a chance to climb this wonderful yet little known peak. Sadly the group was too large (7 on three ropes) to really move quickly through the narrow sections around the "Böse Tritt" and we got behind schedule despite the good start. So even though we had done most of the traverse under the final summit wall, we decided that in light of the forecasted thunderstorms and our size/slowness that we should head back. Still it was a great climb with a nice hut, perfect views of the Eiger, Mönch and Junfrau and if I have the chance, I want to come back and try it again with a smaller/faster group. - NOAH

Route Climbed: NW RidgeOvercast but otherwise good conditions. Did this from the Gspaltenhornhuette after having climbed Buetlassen the day before from Schwarzwaldalp.

Still a lot of snow, which made the lower part more confortable (no gravel). Only needed crampons for the last 50m to the top.
