Nice photo. There is still lot of snow on Kleinglockner this summer. Last year in July there was no snow at all.
Happy climbing!

It's funnybecause this photo looks exactly like a postcard from the 1920s, that my father bought when he climbed the Grossglockner in 1927. Of course the postcard was in black and white (though very sharp), but even the shape and size of the summit cornice is the same

Re: It's funnyHi, Ejnar!
You could upload the postcard after scanning it (of course only in case if you still have it :o)

Re: It's funnyWe still have some unpacked crates after moving, and it may be in one of these, for I can't find it just now, but if I doo, I will upload it.

Great ViewWhat a View!, I summited on July 8, but we couldn't see a thing. So this is the view that I missed out on :-) Great photo!

Re: Great ViewThanks Lodewijk
When we left the Studlhutte it was still raining and covered in cloud. Everything cleared when we got to the Erz Johann hut and we got amazing views over the Kleinglockner and Grossglockner. As we descended the cloud came back over, so our timing was perfect. We were so lucky!
