Großer Angelus (3521m)

Großer Angelus (3521m)

... from high on the SW ridge of the Tschenglser Hochwand. In this frontal view that mountain looks steeper than it is. On taking this photo, I was hoping to get up there later in the day. When I did, high up on the mountain I could just walk along the snow line on the NW ridge, big and obvious in the center here, well to the right of the summit. Sometimes I hiked up on the rocks, sometimes on the snow, wherever the going was easier. Below the snow, the ridge was a bit steeper in a few places, and required a bit of scrambling (UIAA grade I, perhaps even II). 29 Aug 2014.
