Greenup in the Badlands

May is a green time in the arid country of the western Dakotas. Here in Theodore Roosevelt National Park you can see the badlands at a relatively green time. In the foreground is a prairie dog town in lower Paddock Creek, while wild horses wander in the middle ground. May 2010.
