Great Pumpkin in 1986
Miguel Carmona and I did the Great Pumpkin over Labor Day weekend in 1986. We both thought it was a good climb on clean rock. I remember some pretty run out climbing on several of the pitches. I recall one 5.8 pitch with the only pro being two 1/4 inch spinners in 165 feet, quite sporting for the mid 80s. Next day we did The Middle Earth on Mariolumne Dome...

Great Pumpkin, 5.8R
With Monica from Oakland. Ok route. The 2nd pitch is fun, but the rest is average at best. Not much climbing at the grade and the run out sections are below grade. Roseanne, 5.9R. to the left is a much more sustained , varied and challenging route.
